Every revolution in the history of the world started small, with a bunch of brave souls who dared to think big and go where others never thought of treading. The India SaaS movement is such a revolution.
Officially, SaaSBoomi was born on November 24, 2018, when a bunch of India’s leading SaaS founders met to lay out its values, set its agenda, and chart the road ahead. But its roots go much deeper to a time when these founders started sharing their startup playbooks openly with their peers, paying it forward to learn and grow alongside their peers. Over the years, more than 100 volunteers gave this pay-it-forward movement their time and efforts. Where we are today is because of them.
Meanwhile, there are many founders in the community who have scaled up their startups, and share the pay-it-forward mindset, but aren’t able to give their time. Nevertheless, they want to support our mission by helping SaaSBoomi grow financially stable and stronger. They want us to take bolder bets, push the pedal, and go further. These founders, who have built world-class startups in India and globally, helped us create a corpus – The Vanguard Circle.
The Vanguard Circle will power our most audacious initiatives. For example, Qafila is a new initiative to build an India-Middle East SaaS corridor in the Gulf region. It is thanks to the Vanguard Circle that we’re able to launch Qafila in Dubai later this month with over 40+ startups meeting top CIOs to forge partnerships.
What will the Vanguard Circle do for SaaSBoomi?
1. Enable us to aggressively take on initiatives that have a longer cashflow cycle or payback period
2. Support micro initiatives undertaken pro-bono without needing funding support each time
3. Help provide stability to operations on an ongoing basis
We are thrilled to announce that 40+ founders have already come forward to pioneer the Vanguard Circle. This is going to be an ongoing effort, but we would like to give a big shout-out to the trailblazers.

Our vision
SaaSBoomi is a pay-it-forward community of 4000+ founders, led by some of India’s top SaaS founders. Our mission is to enable founders to grow, scale, and win in global markets with help from peers willing to share their wisdom, experience, and network. We are a volunteer-driven, non-profit ecosystem builder.
We have a vision to build a startup portfolio with a combined market capitalization of $1T by 2030. This would require SaaSBoomi startups to reach $50-$100B revenue, and $100B capital infusion into the market. To catalyze this systematically, we have focused attention on scaling startups in the $100K-$5M ARR range. Around 2000 SaaSBoomi startups are in this segment.
We also have around 250 startups in the $5M-$20M ARR range, 50 startups in the $20M-$50M ARR range, and 10 startups in the $50M+ ARR range. There are an unaccounted number of aspiring founders and fledgling startups below the $100K ARR mark in the community.
The Vanguard Circle has been designed to accept donations from select founders who have played an active role in the SaaS community. These donations are expected to be made as a one-time effort only, intended to keep our pay-it-forward ethos true and undiluted.
Needless to add, usage of the corpus and our budgets have oversight of the Governing Council, and we are taking an extremely prudent approach towards maintaining the corpus.
Let’s build a strong ecosystem together.
