What a transformative journey it has been since I assumed the role of CEO at SaaSBoomi. From typically occupying the backstage or blending into the last rows of bustling auditoriums, I’ve been propelled to the very heart of the spotlight.
But this edition of LOL is not about me. It’s about SaaSBoomi. 2023-24 stands out as a remarkable year for SaaSBoomi, marked by a record-breaking number of events and initiatives, all of which have significantly amplified our impact. The sense of togetherness, bonding, and alignment to the mission has never been more vivid.
There have been several new entrants and existing startups that have upgraded to the $50 to $100 Million ARR category. It’s an absolute delight to note that SaaSBoomi, in ways large and small, has impacted this outcome.
We’re also now an internal team of 12 members, and 80+ volunteers who pay it forward in the truest sense.
Together, in the upcoming year, SaaSBoomi’s focus will be on:
- Embracing the transformative wave of AI and adapting to change, akin to any agile startup.
- Nurturing the burgeoning AI-first community, characterized by its youthful vigor and enthusiasm for community-driven growth.
- Empowering $1M+ ARR companies with the necessary tools to integrate AI seamlessly into their products.
- Facilitating M&A activities to ensure companies connect with suitable partners for sustained growth or a smooth exit strategy.
- Continue nurturing the scaled founders community towards helping them shine stronger and become the spotlights for India SaaS.
Before I conclude, I’d like to leave you with a thought that I’ve recently been pondering a lot about.
The pace at which unicorns are being made has increased drastically. What took a decade earlier is now being accomplished in ~3 years’ time. With more companies opening their playbooks and helping other startups learn from their journeys, it’s only a matter of time before India starts printing unicorns, year-on-year. And we, as a community, are gearing up to catalyze this evolution.
