My mother, like every other mother, is a magician in the kitchen. Even today, she doesn’t think twice before pampering me with dosas, sambar, and chutney. Somehow, she manages to put together a meal that’s optimised for speed, taste, and hunger, all at once.
These days, I consciously keep my portions small. But somehow, when I’m home, my plate never stays that way. My mother has this quiet habit of making sure it’s always full.
As a child, I simply thought it all happened effortlessly.
Over the years, after watching her do it countless times, I realised there was a pattern hiding behind that simplicity: Struggle. Stability. Outcome.
First comes the struggle. Making the batter. Letting it ferment. Soaking the dal. Grinding the coconut. Chopping vegetables. None of it is glamorous. None of it is visible when the food finally reaches the table.
Then comes stability. The batter finally meets the hot pan. Oil, water, heat, and patience begin doing their graceful dance. Everything starts coming together.
The outcome is a well-fed family. A grateful heart. A table full of conversations.
What appears to be a simple meal is actually the result of preparation, patience, and consistency, all working together.
Of course, my mother isn’t just known for her dosas. Her dal chawal, bisi bele bath, laddus, and gajar ka halwa have all become family favourites over the years. Every dish follows its own recipe, but the principle never changes.
The more I thought about it, the more I realised community building isn’t very different.
At AIBoomi, we’re now at a stage where we’re ready to quietly drop the “formerly SaaSBoomi” tag. It isn’t just a branding decision. It’s a conscious step towards becoming more relevant in the age of AI, while staying true to the values that brought us here.
A refreshed website is on its way. New programs are taking shape. More importantly, we’re now backed by a growing community of over 125 active volunteers who continue to strengthen everything we build.
Slowly, it feels like our batter has begun to ferment.
Internally, we’ve also made ourselves a promise. As AIBoomi, we will never become comfortable simply delivering successful events or initiatives. Our job is much bigger than that. We exist to help founders move forward, whatever it takes.
But every promise is a two-way street.
As I wrapped up AIBoomi Bootcamp ’26 in Hyderabad, I left the room with one question. Today, I’d like to leave you with the very same one.
What can you do for this community in return?
Can we build 200 companies crossing $5 million in revenue by 2030? Can 10% of them become category creators or unicorns?
Those outcomes won’t happen overnight.
Just like my mother’s breakfast, they’ll go through the same journey.
Struggle. Stability. Outcome.
And through every stage of that journey, AIBoomi and I will be right there alongside you.
Because everything worth building takes time. And it’s always worth the wait. 🙂
